Here I am grooving on the train from nyc to dc on the last day of this decade. It’s as grey and wintery as a bon iver song outside and my heart is warm with possibility and hope .
It’s been so good for us in so many ways here in the little place for 3eb people we like to call assembly. I have gotten to know so many of you from your pages and blogs and then I see you at shows and that’s the way it was all meant to be.
I have such a good feeling about 2010. There are so many people in my life that I am thankful for . I know my precious pup, boo probably won’t see 2011, but it makes the time with her more sweet—she likes lamb and bacon and this year she’s gonna get all she wants. So many of my friends are making babies, and though it’s making me wish I had one, they’re really fun to have around.
Well, Saturnalia is the ancient new years celebration, where everyone would make it a point to celebrate to show their optimism for the year. They would feast to inspire a year full of bounty. They would tell each other what they really think on that night so they could get down to their better selves. They would each do their part that night to encourage the gods to send green shoots up through the cold ground, and send the sun back up into the darkened sky.
Well I hope your saturnalia brings joy and prosperity. we’ve got so much to do this year, one more in this brief and precious encounter with existence. I hope we all see each

Stephan- nice thoughts and I appreciate that you actually do notice some of the loyal fans that follow you (to many cities) . I wish you much joy and peace in 2010. I'd love some more music from 3eb hope you have some to share. You make my life more interesting .... Get back out there soon! i WILL follow you! Some of the best times in my life have been trips my husband and I take just to see 3eb!

It makes me glad that you are so excited about the new year! and yes babies are fun to have around, so have lots of them! and i want to say thank you... i got lost this year and ursa major helped me get inspired again. keep doing what you do and i'll keep loving it.
the whole making baby thing is a great idea! you need a son to pass the torch to. I'm sure he would be as great as you. And he would have the best damn teacher to show him the way of life and music and how they compare. All of your fans children would listen to him just like we have listened to you over the years.
